Kate Scott is a scriptwriter, playwright and award-winning children’s author of the Spies in Disguise series published by Piccadilly Press. She was the script editor on the second series of animated children’s programme THE HIVE and has worked on several book and film projects as a reader and editor. Her children’s television writing credits include BIG AND SMALL, CHUGGINGTON, TOOT THE TINY TUGBOAT and THE HIVE. Kate’s stage plays have been performed in the Salisbury Fringe Festival and at the Salisbury Playhouse Studio and her most recent radio play, Emma Fernsby, Times Two, has been longlisted in Writersroom’s Script Room 10. Another radio play, Voice, was shortlisted for the Nick Darke Award. She is also a published poet regularly heard on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Poetry Please’. Her new standalone novel for 9–12s, Giant, will be published in 2017.
