After more than 15 years as a primary school teacher, Antony finally swapped the company of a room full of children for a computer and a vat full of coffee. Ironically he now spends practically as many days in schools as he did as a teacher and visits over 100 schools a year, drawing parallels between what children do in class and what he does as a professional writer. He is married with three children and grew up in North London wanting to play for Arsenal, become a solo cellist and to write books. Two to go then! He’s the author of over 30 titles and writes in a converted garden shed. It amuses him to think that ideas that are hatched in a room that’s barely big enough to sit in, eventually make their way into the minds of so many children!
