Sally Nicholls is the author of books including ‘Ways to Live Forever’ and ‘An Island of Our Own’. She has won many awards for her fiction, including the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and the Independent Bookseller’s Week Award, and has been shortlisted for the Guardian Children’s Book Prize and the Costa Book Award.
Sally says: ‘My next book is a YA novel about the Suffragette movement. I am offering the chance to have a Suffragette named after you. You can be male or female – I will ONLY BE USING YOUR SURNAME. (So, if your name is John Smith, the book will feature a Suffragette called Miss Smith.) You will have a small speaking part, and will probably get arrested for actions against the patriarchy.’
